About Me
I am very pleased to have the opportunity to introduce my agency, N.E.W. Study Abroad Consulting.
My name is Irmtraut Friedl Bonelli (Irmy). I was born in Austria, but have lived and worked in Italy for many years. I have always had a passion for foreign languages, travel and networking.
As a High School teacher and University professor, I learned to discern and understand my students’ needs; this was the impetus for exploring and creating my own study abroad programs.
With 35 years of experience in the study abroad field, I founded N.E.W. 12 years ago. Based in Florence (Italy) and in San Diego CA (USA), N.E.W. offers study abroad programs tailored to the needs of people of all ages.
I work with accredited partner institutions and language schools that I have personally visited.
I aim to offer what I call “boutique” programs with personalized service, something that distinguishes N.E.W. from a large, one-size-fits-all travel agency and study abroad provider.
